Nigel Crosthwaite is a dental graduate of Sheffield University, having won university and national prizes in paediatric dentistry, orthodontics, medical law and periodontology. Mr Crosthwaite also won a university scholarship to undertake clinical research in Kenya.
Upon graduation his career followed multivariate directions, both in general practice but also holding posts at the University of Sheffield Department of Anatomy and then in oral maxillofacial oral pathology/medicine, the latter to complete cancer research/higher qualification.
Mr Crosthwaite maintains out of hours constant practice in emergency dentistry and dento-alveolar surgery.
Mr Crosthwaite has undertaken voluntary charitable dental work in several countries in Africa and to recent Jewish immigrant children in Israel.
His main areas of clinical interest are complex restorative dentistry, which includes the use of dental implants,essentially 'screw-in teeth'.
Mr Crosthwaite has a very keen interest in postgraduate dental further education with ongoing studies in London, Oxford and Wales, as well as two institutions in Europe.
